Show me the money

We've all seen the commercials equating the use of illegal drugs with direct support of terrorism. The Bush Administration wants us to believe that when some hippie sparks up a joint, he/she is directly aiding terrorism. Meanwhile, no one wants to discuss the fact that law abiding Americans are more likely than not funding terrorism every time they fill up at the pump.

Yes, I know that the U.S. only gets about 10 percent of its oil from Saudi Arabia. That's still a significant amount of money going from us to them. Finally, a few brave souls are questioning just what those money links are ... but of course, the Bush Administration is pulling its usual stonewalling act. Wouldn't want to piss off the Saudis, especially since we're going to need their help in taking out Osama ... er, Saddam Hussein.

Just to revist something I mentioned earlier ... has anyone given thought to the fact that the Bush Administration wants to equate illegal drug use with terrorism so that the Justice Department can simply declare anyone caught with a bit of weed or coke an "enemy combatant?"

Sound farfetched? Yeah, but then again, this did too a year and a half ago.
